First of all, it’s the anniversary of the Normandy landings. I’d often post a Sabaton song when they have a relevant one, but in this case it both feels on the nose and bluntly, the video is awful. I love the band, and the song Primo Victoria is good, but they hadn’t learned to dial down the environmental noise and effects.
Instead, we’re going to catch up on a few things while I’ve been dealing with other things.
Mr Wargaming
My friend Jon Mollison is still cranking out videos, and if you like minis games, and especially if you need a break from the 500-lb gorilla that is Warhammer to preserve your sanity and your paycheck, take a look at his stuff. Better yet - support him over at Kofi.
Ursula of Ulm
The kickstarter for Ursula of Ulm, the sequel to Shagduk, has succeeded and currently has made $2600. Yes, I know these guys, but Pilum press prides itself on putting out excellent stories and collections, and Shagduk is one of the best new books I’ve read. Go support the kickstarter, and while you’re at it, if you haven’t read Shagduk, you can get it there as well.
ACKs Imperial Imprint (ACKs II)
With the kickstarter out of the way, the semi-final PDF layout has been completed sans artwork which is also coming in. On the backend, there has been a lot of progress on the Foundry module for ACKs, which on the development side has already been updated to be compatible with V11, and pending testing, the newly released version 12 of foundry. Much of the work now involves redoing the libraries of proficiencies, monsters, classes, and so on as well as character sheets and making the combat and initiative systems reflect the rules.
In short, a lot to still be done, but steadily making progress, and they have already cleared the hurdle of “won’t run at all anymore in current foundry.”
In the meantime, the Grey Brotherhood is still getting in trouble while occasionally doing good.
Musical Break
Very little of my current listening is pop. While I’ve usually showcased the more metal side of things, JD McPhereson is one of my favorite retro rockers:
That’s it for now. I’ll be back with more Cepheus stuff shortly.
