Just to toss out another idea, what if missiles are 'direct fire' weapons with 10 or 20 G gravitic drives. They're intentionally dumb to proof against electronic counter measures, chaff, and flares. Of course, driving through sand at said high Gs might provide some defense as intended.
Pretty much the sprint missile option. The missiles are only 50kg so solid rocket motors will work. Specialized antigravity likely won’t be online until much higher tech levels, and likely not then. Missiles are around Cr. 5000. A grav belt is Cr.100,000 and an air/raft is Cr.600,000 that’s one to two orders of magnitude more expensive for a specialized and tuned, even if it only has to fire once, compact drive system

There's likely a divide between civilian solid rocket motor weapons and the grav driven 'capital missiles' used by the 'trillion credit squadron'.
